Saying Goodbye To Gus

July 26, 2016

Today's scrapbook page is one with a lot of meaning. On the 16th, we had to put our cat, Gus, down which was very hard. He was 16 years old and had only recently gotten sick. He had diabetes but earlier this month he started having a lot of trouble breathing, so the vet treated him for an upper respiratory infection but it only got worse. When they did X-Rays they saw that his heart was enlarged and he had fluid in his lungs. At that point, we knew the right thing to do was to put him down.

Gossamer Blue - March Reveal

March 01, 2016

I swear I say this every month but I can't believe it is already March! Time just flies by these days.
Of course, it being the first day of the month, that means it is reveal day over at the Gossamer Blue website! These kits are absolutely stunning and are probably my favorite kits ever!

My first, and probably favorite project, is my planner dashboard! This Maggie Holmes paper and ephemera are just too cute together!

Here is a close up of the ephemera cluster. I love the light colors with the pops of bright yellow! I actually wasn't sure if I was going to use this paper but it probably ended up being my most used paper.

In the top pockets, I added some of the labels included in the Life Pages kit which, when cut down to 3 labels, fit perfectly. I also added that cute tag just for some decoration.
One of my favorite things in all of the kits are the C'est La Vie washi tape which were included in the Life Pages Themed add-on. The whole C'est La Vie collection is just absolutely stunning.

For the bottom pockets, I just decorated them with some Maggie Holmes floral ephemera which came in the Bits & Pieces kit. Of course, I needed a bit more gold, so I added these gold alphas behind the washi tapes.

Another fun project I made were these boxes! My mom recently got me the We R Memory Keepers 1-2-3 Punch Board and it can do so much.

The largest box was created with the textured, white cardstock which came in the Main kit. For the bow as well as the other boxes, I used paper from the C'est La Vie paper pad and they turned out so cute! These would be great for giving little gifts!

That is it for today! I had so much fun creating with the March Gossamer Blue kits and I know they will continue to be used for quite a while!

Gossamer Blue - February Reveal

February 01, 2016

Wow! February already? I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels as though time is flying by. If you are a GB lover, then you know that it is reveal day!
As a Project Lifer, I can't say enough good things about the Life Pages kits this month! The cards were gorgeous, we got fun embellishments, and the stamps are back!

Here is a spread I creating using the LP kits. When you have great products, spreads come together so easily, like this one.

I loved how all of the colors complimented each other and how well most of them went with my photos!

I also really loved the enamel embellishments by Hiedi Swapp and Fancy Pants Designs that we got in the kits this month.
Speaking of embellishments, they are also great for creating planner accessories! I have only recently gotten into the planner obsession and I wanted to make some things for myself.
So all I did was get some paper clips and I attached the various embellishments to them with adhesive! Now I have some very cute paperclips to use in my planner.

Be sure to check out all of the February kits over at Gossamer Blue!

Gossamer Blue - January Reveal

January 01, 2016

Happy New Year everyone!! I cannot believe we are already in 2016! I hope this year brings all of you health and happiness!

Today is also reveal day for the January GB kits and I must say, these kits are definitely my favorite so far! Today I have a few cute and colorful projects I created with these kits and I'm very excited to share!

First off, I created a couple of cards with the Main kit and the Life Pages kit.
This shaker card didn't turn out how I expected, like a lot of things I create, but I really love it! I planned on using the other side of this paper which was red with white hearts but I liked the more subtle pattern so I decided to go with that. I cut the paper to an A2 card size (5.5x4.25) and used a circle die to cut a circle in the middle.

Gossamer Blue December Reveal

December 01, 2015

All I can say about the December Gossamer Blue kits is "wow"! These kits are stunning and I think what I love most is that it isn't Christmas themed. I've seen many kit clubs who have winter/Christmas kits for this month as their main kits. All of December isn't about Christmas. Other things still happen and if you are like me, you will still be catching up on your Project Life album.

This month, I worked on some traditional pages as well as catching up on my regular album. The first thing I created this month was a scrapbook page of Clara in her halloween costume.

Gossamer Blue November Projects

November 06, 2015

The past few weeks have been crazy and I just realized I didn't do my post on the 1st! Sorry! So as many of you know, I had second back surgery in August. I have created a 6x8 album for it but haven't actually done that much of it because I haven't been feeling inspired lately. The Life Pages kit this month had absolutely gorgeous 3x4 and 4x6 cards and I decided they would look great in my surgery album. I didn't start at the beginning just because I didn't like the hospital photos (no one ever looks great after surgery) so I decided to document some shopping we did and the park/pier near out hotel.

Gossamer Blue - October Reveal

October 02, 2015

So first of all, I apologize for this being a day late! And secondly, I appologize for the quality of the photos. September had just been an off month for me so I'm glad it is finally over.
The October Gossamer Blue kits are so pretty this month and although I wasn't a huge fan when I saw the photos, I love them in person!
I have two traditional scrapbook pages to show you today and I really love how both of them turned out!

Both of these pages are completely different for me and I really love them! I went looking on Pinterest for some inspiration and I was definitely inspired. Sadly, I can't remember who they are inspired by!
For the triangle/heart page, I created the heart in photoshop first and then used my silhouette to cut out the triangles. I actually started off with completely different colors but they were too bold for the photo. I love the wood veneer and the rub ons..and the little hearts and stars this month! Haha :)

Sorry for the poor lighting in this photo..again..off month for me. I LOVE this polkadot paper soooo much! This photo is from when I was pretty young (that's me at the back in the navy swim suit) and this was definitely "my crew" We were all on a swim team together and we (the older kids) were best of friends. When I saw these stickers, I knew that had to be the title for this page! I used the woodgrain and yellow striped paper because they represent the sand and sun and the colors just worked really well. I love how this page turned out.

So that is it for today and I hope to be sharing some new things in the next week or so! I hope you have a great day!

Week Twenty

July 08, 2015

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing my spread for week 20. I am still a bit behind but I am slowly catching up. I used mostly Studio Calico cards for this spread but the embellishments and a couple of cards are from the Gossamer Blue kits this month.

Speaking of Gossamer Blue, you can see my week 19 spread on their blog
